Training: Communication Liaisons and Professional Development Liaisons

CL & PDL Training 2025-2026
Communication Liaisons (CL) and Professional Development Liaisons (PDL) will meet in Cambridge Bay, Rankin Inlet, and Iqaluit for training to support them in these pivotal roles.
The role of the Communication Liaison?
CLs help to facilitate two-way communication between the NTA Office and Members in schools.
CLs:
– check email daily (and encourage new members to register for NTA Communications)
– create and update an NTA bulletin board where it can be seen by all members
-provide short updates at the end of staff meetings as needed
-the main contact for CLs is pmacneil@ntanu.ca
The role of the Professional Development Liaison?
PDLs help to facilitate two-way communication between the NTA Office and Members in schools on all matters pertaining to PD.
PDLs:
– share information on available professional development opportunities
-assist members with PD Week applications and substantiation
-promote professional development
– the main contacts for PDLs are shession@ntanu.ca & cmacgregor@ntanu.ca
