The Nunavut Teachers’ Association (NTA) is seeking a creative, detail-oriented individual to serve as our Newsletter Editor. This position plays a key role in sharing news, updates, and stories with our membership across Nunavut.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, write, edit, and coordinate the layout of the NTA newsletter.
  • Source and incorporate articles, photographs, and announcements from members, committees, and partners.
  • Ensure the newsletter reflects NTA’s mission, priorities, and professional tone.
  • Collaborate with NTA staff and Central Executive to meet publication deadlines.
  • Maintain a consistent visual style and high editorial standards.

Qualifications:

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience with newsletter production (digital and/or print).
  • Proficiency with basic layout and design software or online publishing platforms.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
  • Knowledge of NTA, education in Nunavut, and the interests of our membership is an asset.

Term of Appointment:
The successful applicant will be appointed for a one-year term. At the conclusion of each term, the NTA Central Executive reserves the right to either renew the appointment or re-advertise the position.
