The Nunavut Teachers’ Association Status of Women committee (SWC) will meet in Iqaluit the weekend of November 20th-21st. The committee is comprised of members from all regions of Nunavut. This committee has been very active in recent years and have held several meetings (conference calls) thus far this year. Some of the work of the SWC focuses on studying and researching women’s issues in Nunavut, proposing initiatives to address inequities, and celebrating leadership. The ‘Do Something Kind’ campaign celebrated International Women’s Day 2021 by highlighting the leadership of female members.
