NTA Member Services Administrator

The Nunavut Teachers’ Association (NTA) is a professional organization of approximately 850 teachers who work within the publicly funded school system of Nunavut. The Association is the sole bargaining agent for all Nunavut teachers and offers a broad range of services and programs to its membership. The Nunavut Teachers’ Association invites applications for the 3 Year Term position, NTA Member Services Administrator.

The successful candidate will be an employee of NTA, work at NTA Central Office, Iqaluit and report to the NTA Executive Director. The NTA Member Services Administrator position is a senior staff position. It will start September 01, 2020 and end in August 2023. The successful candidate will be responsible to assist in carrying out the overall mandate of the NTA. Through a combination of training, expertise and/or qualifications, this person will have a demonstrated interest and expertise in labor relations, grievance systems, collective agreement/ legal reference interpretations, negotiations, policy development, research, professional development, training, communications and technology. He / She shall possess the personal vigour, initiative and capacity to meet the demands of this position. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills and problem solving abilities. He / She shall be a team player and welcome professional development and skills upgrading opportunities that will be very much part of this exciting position with NTA. A demonstrated interest and past / current involvement in the activities of this professional organization will be a definite asset.

 

The basic salary for this NTA position is $ 122,360. There is a Northern Allowance of $15,016.00. The NTA offers an attractive range of benefits as well. Subsidized housing is available with this position. A detailed Job Description is available at the link below.
