President’s Message (January 2015)
Welcome back after a well deserved holiday break. I hope that all of you had an opportunity to rest and take part in the holiday festivities. I am sure that teachers are recharged and again delivering wonderful programs to their students. Over the last sixteen months I’ve had the honour of visiting thirty-five of Nunavut’s forty-three schools and have seen so many excellent examples of caring and strong programs firsthand. I would like to thank all of you for your continued dedication.
NTA Strategic Plan 2014 – 2015
I am pleased to present you with our first formal Strategic Plan. A Strategic Plan is essential in order for all of us to have a clear understanding of what the role of the NTA is and what our members can expect from our Association. This Plan was developed with extensive input from the NTA membership and ratified at the Annual Meeting of Central Council in May 2014. Over the next year, again with extensive input from the membership, we hope to have an NTA Mission Statement to present to Central Council for consideration to include with the Plan.
